Background
About Alex Wilcox
Alex Wilcox is an American airline executive born in London, United Kingdom, to an American father and a Swiss mother. He earned a BA in political science and English from the University of Vermont, and while in college he worked for Southwest Airlines. After graduating, Alex managed a rock band for two years before launching his aviation career in customer service at Virgin Atlantic Airways, where he supported early US market expansion alongside David Tait.
At Virgin Atlantic, Wilcox reviewed business plans and was drawn to David Neeleman's vision for Morris Air. He joined Neeleman and became a founding executive of JetBlue Airways in 1999, spending six years helping build one of America's most recognized low-cost carriers. He then served as president and COO of Kingfisher Airlines before leaving in 2006 to pursue his next venture.
In 2006, Alex partnered with Proctor Capital Partners to write the business plan for JetSuite, a business jet charter company. By July 2007, he was serving as CEO of JetSuite, which later evolved into JSX — a premium semi-private air travel alternative redefining the passenger experience. His career reflects a consistent drive to innovate and improve how people fly.

His sharp eye for innovative business models set him apart early on, and he quickly moved from customer service into a strategic founding role at one of America's most celebrated new airlines.
